So, take a break -- participate in the ongoing challenge and we'll take this discussion up again after Thanksgiving! How's that?

I will not be offended if none of these show up, but I wanted to contribute in case you can use or modify them to fit the challenge!! :-)
Section 1 "Reading":
- Book by a GR author
-Maybe a book selected by another WT member for you??
-How about WT top YA novel that’s been made into a movie? I looked and counted 11 I know are movies
-I still like the book rated 5 stars by another WT member!
-Maybe a runner up book from our monthly group reads?
Section 2 "Writing":
-Book that’s been translated into at least three other languages
-Book that was not originally written in English
Section 3 "Arithmetic":
-number of letters in title same as the total of letters in your name (first and last at least, maybe middle name optional)
-2 books in a series
-published the same year you were born
Section 4 ":
-Jan is blood donor month (open invite for vampire books!) Maybe a comparison of two paranormal books for 25 points?
-Jan is New Year's (book published in 2009)
-Feb is Black History month (black author or main character)
-March is Easter and Passover, maybe a book with religious themes/characters? (could be good, bad or ugly!)
These were just some I thought of as I looked the outline over. Your initial ideas were really good too, and I'd like to see some of those on the final one (especially the numbers section!)

These are FAB! We will be working on the tasks as soon as Thanksgiving is over (and I have my NaNo under control, I hope). Then I will be able to post them before Christmas.
Maybe just in time so friends and family can get you some of your selections for the holidays. (Celebrate Kwanzaa- it gives you 7 days to get things like books! Tee hee)

I will post on this board an outline for the suggested tasks of YA Challenge #3 by December 1st. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions right now. I hope to finalize the tasks before Christmas so you can enjoy your holiday while asking for books as presents! LOL

Thanks Lydia! How'd your NaNo go? Or, should I say going, since there are still 5 days left!

Awww, who needs the pressure of a deadline anyhow?! Slow and steady wins the race. :-)
I can't wait to start planning my list for the new year. Lydia, did you say you were going to post Dec 1? Or later?
