Yes! I wish I had a friend for 26 years and we did something every year together. I know that exists. There are people I know that have friends from their childhood and they still hang out. I moved too much growing up to do that. Kind of a bummer.

I agree Mells! I love when King centers the story around a strong group of friends. He pulls off that dynamic so well.
This is my first time re-reading Dreamcatcher and even though I know where the story is going to go and how it ends. I forgot a lot of the little things. Like I totally forgot about the random hunter guy that was lost in the woods, McCarthy.
It’s also my second time reading. I’m very excited for this read along! So glad I found this community! I am remembering how vivid the bodily functions were deceived this time around, lol!
Hi, my name is Diana. I just joined the group. I read a lot of Stephen King, but there are a few on the 2021 list I didn’t get to. As for Dreamcatcher I never read it but saw the movie because I had a crush on the guy who played Jonesy. Haha. I don’t remember anything of the movie which is making the reading very enjoyable. The whole time I feel on edge, except during the farts, which I can’t help laughing out loud at the guys reactions. I am currently reading and listening to the audiobook at the same time. I’ve been in a reading slump for 2 years and I am motivated to get back to reading by any means necessary. But listening to the audio and them saying the p-word like 20 times was a bit annoying. Besides that, Kings books always have great narrators. Can’t wait for what’s coming up!!
Yay super happy to have you join us Diana!! And I'm totally with you, Jason Lee has always had my heart so I always crush on Beaver when I watch this lol. So far I'm just reading it but only because I'm waiting for the audiobook to become available. Then I'm sure it'll mostly be audio.
Just started reading it today! I had to finish End of Watch (Bill Hodges #3) before starting a new hunk of book! This is a brick of a book. It sounds like from your comments it has that similar kid companionship that It had! I loved that in It! Hoping I like this one!
Welcome Diana! I'm so happy that all of you have joined in the read and discussions. I'm hoping these weekly discussions will make it more fun and interactive for us to speak freely about the book without worrying about spoiling it for others.
