Yeesh. This was so disappointing, partly because it sounded so interesting to me. Instead of an exciting story about an immortal society making the world better (just a little at a time) it was a tedious philosophical squabble. Some reviewers really liked it, but many had the same disappointment I did. High expectations did me in here; but I would not have enjoyed the story line anyway.
