Welcome to the Group - Introductions

welcome Alyssa! - It was especially the re-reading that brought me to GR in general and to this group in particular. It took the many re-readers here to convince me that I am not crazy (as my friends think I am) when I re-read and re-re-read and sometimes re-re-re-read books.
I laughed at your post, Sabagrey. Nothing nuts about that--sometimes you get as much the third read as you did on the first, because some books are worth the effort and others always give the pleasure.
You know I had not considered re-reading to be an unusual thing, but I suppose some people might. Welcome to the re-read club!! lol

Welcome to the group."
Hi, I just joined the group. My name is Adam and I love reading classics, when I have time to! I'm currently reading my first Anthony Trollope novel, the Warden. I'm about halfway through and enjoying it so far. My favorite classic is Les Miserables. I hope to be able to find some new classic treasures by joining this group. I enjoy having discussing books that I've read, or are currently reading with others, so this seemed like a place for me. My other hobbies are playing tennis, listening to music, and visiting new places.

Welcome to the group!

You are sure to find books that will speak to you, Hallie. The classics have something for everyone. Welcome.

I felt the same back at my days at school, but later I found that I really like and enjoy reading classic books. I hope you'll find good ones and without being 'forced' to read them and without thinking that you NEED to like classics, so good luck and welcome to the group!

Welcome. This is a fabulous group.
This class is excellent and is available for one credit ($15 to $17 depending on your subscription (monthly or every-other-month) on audible.
The 48 lectures are summarized here, where you can also get the audiobook for $30:

Hello Dan, welcome. Join any conversation that interests you. Even books that are not current monthly selections, will have open threads. I hope you find many books you enjoy.

Given your interests, I've heard from many people in this group that Rebecca is excellent. I've seen the film but have not yet read the book.
Welcome Don, you will find a variety of choices here. Please scan through the threads and join any you are interested in. As you are new to Goodreads, don't hesitate to ask if you need help, we have great members and there is always someone here happy to answer questions.

Hi Anusha, there are many challenges to keep your mind busy and happy here. But the hardest challenge is unwritten. It is simply to become a regular here. Hope you make it. If not, all is well, too.
Nice to have you here, Arusha. Hope you find exactly what you need here to inspire you while reading the Classics.

My current favourite book is ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ by Shirley Jackson, and the last book I finished was ‘Disgrace’ by JM Coetzee.
Hello Catherine. I am so glad you have joined us here. Join any discussion you like. Threads never close.
Hello Amy, welcome. Join in any discussion you like. Our threads never close. Also, you can nominate possible future reads for the group.

Hi Amy. I too have thoughts about starting a podcast. Hope your idea comes to fruition. I like mysteries set in the 1910s up to 1920s. This time zone makes me forget about the World Wars.

Hi Jason! You'll fit in very well here. Welcome.
