:D Great someone else is going to read it too. I tried reading A Man Called Ove but it didn't work for me so I didn't pick anything else by the author again, and now I'm afraid to start it 🙈

Althea ☾ (themoonwholistens) | 1115 comments this was my first Backman book and really loved it!! I haven't read A Man Called Ove but they focus on different things I think :) hope you guys enjoy though! would love to talk about this at the end of the month

I would DEFINITELY recommend reading Beartown by Backman! That was my first read by them and I really enjoyed it! This will be my second book I pick up by them, I do eventually want to pick up A Man Called Ove and the sequel to Beartown!

@Jade YES to beartown!! that was the backman book that really made me appreciate his writing so much <3 planning to pick up the sequel too :)

Laura | 72 comments I reserved it at the library and I get to pick it up next week. I will catch up so I can discuss.

I loved A man called Ove and the book about Britt Marie and the one where Britt-Marie features. But I could not get through Beartown., sorry!

Althea ☾ (themoonwholistens) | 1115 comments aww don't be sorry! not all books are going to be for everyone. i love that you enjoyed a man called ove though :))

I didn't start it, and I don't think I will at this time. I'm struggling with Rebecca at the moment, and after it I'll read some romance to reset myself.

I'm glad you are enjoing it more than you thought you would :D

Melissa (melissa12345678) | 54 comments I LOVED this book!! I read it a few books agonso kinda forget some but I remember it was amazing! I love his style of writing. gives me happy feels :)

Laura | 72 comments I finished it. It was heartbreaking and hysterical at the same time. And all the conversations were so annoying, but at the same time it was funny. I had a good time reading it.

message 14: by El (new) - rated it 5 stars

El I loved this book so much! So fun and heartwarming and beautiful. Backman's writing is incredible! The characters were so touching, the plot so good (and suspenseful!) and the messages... *sighing dreamily*.
