I've always struggled to find the "perfect planner" and a friend mentioned this to me. I read the book, dove in with the method, and have successfully been using it for almost a year now (one year in January). This was more of a personal thing that was going to help keep my brain and life organized but I can't express how much it's helped with everything else, especially business. The mindset is completely different than anything I've tried previously, and it's boosted my productivity several times over.
I'm more mindful of what I'm prioritizing and what I'm spending/giving my time to, what my goals are, and how I'm managing my time (which I've become MUCH better at doing). I never have to worry about where something is written down (hint: it's ALL in the journal). It's legitimately 100% customizable and flexible as all get out because you literally create it as you go (hello, completely unexpected 2020 — no problem for this planner method).
I could go on and on about it, but it's so simple and it can be whatever you want it to be. Mine's changed a lot in the last year as I've refined how I use it and honed in on what's actually important for me to keep track of but I'll never use another planner ever again! It's not necessarily for everyone, but figured I'd share in case it helps anyone else as much as it has helped me. :)
I just finished reading “Essentialism” and it blew my mind. It put into words a lot of things I’ve felt for a long time. It’s also a great companion to “Atomic Habits”
