and ask if they can set up a thread for us starting whatever day you pick. It's pretty easy.

My goal is 1,000 books this year. That's 83.3333 per month. Some of my Kindle Unlimited books are only like 100+ pages and I just switched departments at work and can listen to audio books for 8 hours uninterrupted. yay

message 36: by Krystal (new)

Krystal Ayers | 5691 comments I had planned on going full force into the new year but today I lost my 17 year old cat. I know the days will probably be filled with a lot of crying and staring into space. I will do my very best though, for the team as I do want to read, read, read.

Planned so far.

Blood & Honey (Serpent & Dove, #2) by Shelby Mahurin What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1) by Kat Zhang It's a Wonderful Death by Sarah J. Schmitt

The Priestess Trials Trilogy Box Set by A.A. Lee His Wife's Sister by A.J. Wills Chasing Someday (Chasing Tomorrow #1) by Lindzee Armstrong Gills by Abe Moss

Tankborn (Tankborn, #1) by Karen Sandler Forest of Souls (Shamanborn, #1) by Lori M. Lee The Fates Divide (Carve the Mark, #2) by Veronica Roth Birthmarked (Birthmarked, #1) by Caragh M. O'Brien

Krystal, that's so painful...I'm so sorry for your loss! We lost our dog a few years ago who was one of 3. We still talk about him all the time. He was family so I get it!

I will definitely be joining some of the buddy reads.

Ashley, 84 books? Holy moly! I WAS feeling good about my book a day plan. lol Actually, I can't read 84 so I can't compare myself to you or anyone. But that's amazing! Sometimes when I am reading super fast, I don't enjoy my books as much. Some books I don't care if I'm reading them really fast but others I want to soak them in, think on the vocabulary, the way it's written, some special phrases, and if there is philosophical ideas I LOVE digging into that. Good luck organizing!

I think everyone has different reading habits and that's okay! It's about what life allows you to do and obviously most people have other hobbies, which is totally awesome.
Personally, I don't read fast, just a lot. I listen to audio books a lot too. At work, while I'm driving, cleaning at home. Basically when I'm awake and not actually reading a book.
I absolutely love digging into books too! I understand. I was a Literature major in college and still have the habit of searching for symbolism and analyzing character development and tone, etc. I think it's just become habit at this point.
I think a book a day is great and you're totally gonna crush it!
