Reading The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa rn. It's so heart warmingly wholesome, but I'm sure there's some heartbreak coming soon.
Currently reading The City of Dr Moreau
I'm starting
. I have a thing for books about cults. I'm also reading
. I'm listening to
and lastly I'm on volume 2 of

I am liking it so far, just a few chapters in.Reading
Slow getting through this one. I wouldn't call it bad, just not keeping me engaged. Will finish it eventually.
Nothing, at the moment. I haven't gotten any new books for myself recently, because I know I'm getting a bunch for Christmas, and I don't feel like rereading anything I have at the house.

Some really fine stories so far! Favorites include stories by Seanan McGuire, Sarah Langan, and Joe R. Lansdale.
I started reading this series around Christmas a few years back and it's become a bit of a tradition with me now to read Jack Daniels in December.

Those Jack Daniel’s books are fun. I need to pick up where I left off on those.

I've only read the first 30 pages and it's hilarious and creepy. Konrath says in the beginning that he needed to get back to fun with the series here because the last book was so dark.

"Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones" by James Clear for work. So far, it's very educational and insightful. Best of all, many of the things I'm reading here I'm already doing which is always a great thing :-)
This has been on my TBR for a while, so I finally got my copy yesterday and about 25pages in, so far interesting.
"Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission--and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish..."
I had to update earth to Earth in the GR description, it was copied from Amazon and they also have in incorrectly, lol. Whoopsies.

Another book for work is what I just started... "No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention" by Reed Hastings! I'm going to put on a serious reading clinic and try to get a huge chunk of this read tonight or even finished :-)
Been reading
which is super addictive! There's a few aspects that show me how jaded I've become with crime novels, but I still find myself racing through it.
Come CloserStarted and finished today. If you like demon possession stories but you're sick of the dramatized and slow moving tropes, I can't recommend it enough! Just creepy and sad and really good
Just found out out that Jeff Strand's amazing book called Pressure got a sequel so I couldn't help myself and started it :D

Our Trespasses
Drowning in a meaningless existence flipping burgers, Matthew Davis suddenly collapses from a powerful psychic connection he shares with his twin brother, Jake. The pain is violent and immediate, and Matt knows exactly what it means… hundreds of miles away, Jake has been viciously killed. But instead of severing their connection, the murder intensifies it and Matt begins to suffer the agony of Jake’s afterlife.

I'm currently reading another of E. F. Bleiler's edited Dover books, The Collected Ghost Stories of Mrs. J.H. Riddell
. Only a couple stories in, and enjoying it.

In the middle of The Willows right now. Amazing how Blackwood is making nature a full-force entity.
Ms. Riddell sure was an interesting person. Just read her bio here on gr. I’d not heard of her before.
I haven't read all of Bleiler's intro. but he indicates she was the second best ghost story writer of her time behind Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. Since his taste in fiction never really led me astray, it was time to dig in.

Great book!
I definitely managed to do some season reading this year. Actually, it seems like I have read this book before and totally forgot how awesome it is.
