Tasha Hi! I am new to this group and sort of new to cozy mysteries. I always want to read them but never do so when I came across this group and the challenge, I decided this might be a great way to get me reading these books in 2021. I'm looking forward to trying the challenge and getting to know some of you. :)

Snoop LEVEL ONE

1) On What Grounds*currently reading

Since I'm pretty new to thus genre (I have read a few cozies over the years), I would be happy to hear of any favorites anyone would like to share. :)

A) Read only cozy mysteries of your choice.

Or

B) Read one book from these sub-genres:

- One from culinary (anything dealing with food: restaurants, baked goods, etc.)
- One from animal related (cats, dogs, birds, etc.)
- One from craft related (any kind of hobbies - knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, etc.)
- One from paranormal (witches, vampires, etc.)
- One from cozy mysteries based outside the US (example: Belinda Lawrence series (British))
- One career-based cozy mystery (housekeeping, wedding planner, etc.)
- One holiday based (set during any holiday - Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc.)
- One travel mystery (character could be on a cruise, touring another area, etc.)
- One historical mystery (any mystery not set in the present)
- One is your choice! (freebie!)

It's a good way to get into Cozies. As for reads, I have TBRed so many books just from perusing others lists of reads that my only problem is what to read next. :o)

Who knows, you might top out at level 4 once you get started.

As for authors, you can't go wrong with:
* Kate Carlisle
* Cleo Coyle
* Mary Daheim
* Jenn McKinlay
All have multiple series most of which I've read and enjoyed.

Welcome and good luck.

Stefanie | 77 comments Welcome and good luck on your challenges, Tasha! I just joined this challenge last year, and it has really motivated me to read so much more then I used to.

For recommendations here are some of my favorite series:
* Magical Cats Mystery by Sofie Kelly (aka Sofie Ryan)
* Second Chance Cat Mystery by Sofie Ryan (aka Sofie Kelly)
* Bakeshop Mystery by Ellie Alexander
* Magical Bookshop by Amanda Flower

Before you know it, your TBR shelf will be overflowing with cozies! :)

Tasha Thanks, Stefanie! I actually just bought Meet Your Baker this month as I was wanting to read a cozy in January so I'll probably get started with that one to get the challenge going. Thanks for your recs!

Tasha I decided to start my challenge with On What Grounds as it became available on audio. I'm enjoying it so far but it's very early in to the story. Excited to have started my challenge!
