De dood van Ivan Iljitsj

I would like to ask you something about the books attached above. Both are Dutch translations of Tolstoy's famous "the Death of Ivan Ilych". I read the edition on top, which is part of a series of 'Russian library' of a Dutch publisher. This edition is on Goodreads as if it is a book on its own, by a different author. This is because Tolstoy's name can be translated in two ways in Dutch: Tolstoy (most common) or Tolstoj (used in the edition I read).

I would like to know if it is possible to combine both editions, because after all, although publisher and name on the cover differ, it is the same text from the same author.

Sandra | 31525 comments It should be Tolstoy as the primary author. The Dutch way should be the secondary author, that way all editions of the same work can be combined.

Working on it.
