Bumble Greenbriar (hernameiscrumpet) I loved the book magnus chase, which is based on norse mythology. I know a lot of people will be suggesting PJO but most will have read it so it won’t be as good to branch out and read something new.

Amelie | 1656 comments I suggest Lovely War. It’s a beautifully written historical fiction romance novel, that’s narrated by various Greek gods.

message 4: by Jaye (new)

Jaye Card (jayecard) I love the Riordan books, but everyone's kinda read them, huh...

I'll nominate American Gods instead then. Only most people have read that, not everyone :P

Bumble Greenbriar (hernameiscrumpet) I think I saw a book about hades and persephone that someone was reading but I can’t remember the name. does anyone know what it’s called?

Bumble Greenbriar (hernameiscrumpet) ooh! idea! we could read the bear and the nightingale! i’m not sure if it counts as mythology but it’s based on russian folklore. it’s less well known than the rick riordan books but looks really good!

i wanna read lore too, but sadly, even tho it comes at the beginning of january, for some people it may be hard to get a copy in time for the botm.

Maja (The Moonlight Reader) (majalovesreading) | 642 comments I haven't read it, but I've heard The Song Of Achilles is good! It is an adult book tho I think, so might not be appropriate for everyone.
