fair warning, it usually takes them up to a day :/ are you sure you don't have an ade copy somewhere? these days i download both shelf and ade copies for insurance....and if you have a protected epub (got by a .acsm file contacting ade for permission) you can open it on any device on which you've authorised your adobe account

weird, i have ade authorized on multiple devices but they never carry over. i might have to look into that, smh

no no, they don't carry over, like, look at it this way, say you downloaded a .acsm book on your laptop, opened it using ade. now, what happens is that when you go to the documents section of your hard drive in whichever os you're using, there will be a folder named my digital editions. in that folder, there will be all the books you've downloaded, but in .epub or .pdf format; menaing they're now in readable form (you can't read .acsm). they're protected, but still readable.
so, now if you transfer these protected .epub/.pdf files to some other device also authorised by your adobe account then you can read them. they'll still expire the same date as they were said to fromt he date they were downloade, but you can have it on a different device

hey, no need to be sorry! i only found out when stuff stopped being opened on any of the ade downloaded on my laptop (both windows and linux), so i downloaded ade on my phone and did this to tranfer the books, and it worked!

If you use send to kindle, the book is sent to your kindle device in mobi format.

*sadness*"

okk

like i've already read the "starter guide to arcs" but I still could use some help, on what do publishers focus more, how many books you've reviewed or what?

(i'm assuming you're using netgalley haha)

I don't know if it would be considered that but an author mailed me a pdf for an honest review on goodreads!

hmm I've never had a physical ARC before, but I'm fairly certain you can contact the publishers of a book through email and request a physical ARC. and if you decide to do that, then you should ask Katie
about it since I'm pretty sure she's had physical ARCs before.

I don't know if it would be considered that but an author mailed me a pdf for an honest review on goodreads!"
woah that's awesome! if the author emailed you a pdf of their book, then they probably made it clear that it's an ARC. hope you enjoy your first ARC!

yeah I am thanxxxx

i've never used the send to kindle, so i don't know, but it should send you an email (according to what i've read) approving to send to your device. also, i don't think you can send a file to the kindle app, it will only open on the device.
