ash | 9327 comments In NetGalley, what should I put when it asks me for my "company" when I'm signing up?

message 2152: by LyraFirefly (new)

LyraFirefly | 1210 comments i just put none, but some people put goodreads, which is probably what I should have done

message 2153: by ash (new)

ash | 9327 comments Okay thanks!

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments @lyra I’m pretty sure you can go in and edit it if you want to

message 2155: by ash (new)

ash | 9327 comments Can someone help me navigate where to find ARC books? Cos the ones I'm looking at aren't ARCs

message 2156: by Maple (new)

Maple (bookish_maple) | 2499 comments I’m not sure...If you want, you can text me a screenshot and I’ll try to help!

message 2157: by eli ♡ (new)

eli ♡ | 2464 comments have you already told Netgalley what genres you like? if you picked YA for example, on your dashboard, they'd show you YA books you could request.

Okie! If the genre request doesn't work then I will

Where do I find the button to do this? 😅

message 2161: by ash (new)

ash | 9327 comments Wait nevermind! Also what do i put in my bio lol

message 2162: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments keep it short, include your goodreads/blog stats, what genres you read/review, links to where you post/promote books, and any other information that would helpful for publishers :)

message 2163: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments lezzie ~ spread the red! wrote: "Can someone help me navigate where to find ARC books? Cos the ones I'm looking at aren't ARCs"

go to the find titles tab, you can see arc's that were added recently, being requested by many people, by genre, etc

message 2164: by Maple (new)

Maple (bookish_maple) | 2499 comments Your bio should be-

~Your goodreads followers and friend count( make sure to update it regularly)
~Where you mainly review (goodreads, a blog, etc.)
~If you mod any big goodreads clubs you can mention that ( include a link)
~What you mainly read and review (genres)

Don’t put casual stuff on there. Keep it more professional, it’s sadly not as fun as a goodreads bio.

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments DEAR GOD I'M GOING TO SCREAM

message 2168: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments but when i try to click on it, a message saying "License integrity: License is out of date (check start and end date)."

message 2169: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments has this happened to anyone else?? it's never happened to me before and i'm not sure why it's happening now because there's still time before it expires >:(

message 2171: by eli ♡ (new)

eli ♡ | 2464 comments ugh that sounds so frustrating. I use ADE, not the app, but are you able to read the book on your computer or laptop?

message 2172: by Maple (new)

Maple (bookish_maple) | 2499 comments I’m so sorry, human *wipes tears* I don’t use netgalley shelf, so I have no idea 😫

message 2173: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments alas, it was archived a while ago; i'm reading some old arc's to catch up on reviews. also, it's on my phone because i run into a lot of issues with ade on my laptop and can't download shelf on there

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments dsfkjhkdsjfhkdj thanks guys <3

message 2175: by Maple (new)

Maple (bookish_maple) | 2499 comments If I have approved kindle@netgalley.com to send books, and told netgalley what account to send books to, will the book just show up on the homepage of the kindle app, or is there something else that I have to do ?

message 2176: by human (new)

human (that0nefangirl) | 15694 comments i think it should work, but i'm not sure; it might only work for kindle devices and not the app. i would definitely say to try it out though; i don't know for certain because i don't use either, sorry :/

message 2177: by Maple (new)

Maple (bookish_maple) | 2499 comments It’s okay : )
