I got an e-copy of Mirror's Edge- then a physical copy from them. But before all of that, I bought my own copy.I am so very sorry Scholastic.
But also not because I gave the copy I bought to my LA teacher who didn't even know the third book in that series existed.
So I just starting getting interested in ARCs. I have applied for two YA books on Netgalley, The Girl Least Likely by Katy Loutzenhiser and Tokyo Ever After by Emiko Jean. If there are any popular ARCs right now, I would be interested and hope you could let me know! It seems like many of us have experience with this!
Ohhh good luck!A few:
Jade Fire Gold (YA)
Red Wolf (YA)
City of Shattered Light (YA)
You've Reached Sam is on NetGalley Read Now!

You've Reached Sam is on Read Now!!!
OMG. AHHHHHH.
I'm going to be getting a NetGalley account pretty soon and I've wanted to read that book ever since I read the description.
I'm so excited !!!!
FireLily wrote: "what does it mean when a book is archived?"the publisher took it down (aka u cant request or download it anymore) it usually gets archived near the publishing date
Heyyy so I'm new to this ARC thing...so how do you get an ARC? Is it necessary to have a blog to get one? How do you request one?
I use NetGalley and I linked it to my Goodreads page, and I browse the new titles every week to see if I like anything...there are some Arcs that are ready to read and some that you have to request
There's also a feedback ratio depending on how many arcs that you've gotten you've actually rated, the recommended it 80% but I've had arcs accepted to me with my feedback at 60% so it depends on the publisher I guess
Ohh okay! Thank you so much! So I'm trying to get a NetGalley account and they're asking for my company? What if I don't have a company? Does that mean I'm not allowed to have an ARC?
You should also make a good bio!!Your fav genres, authors and some goodreads stats like how many friends + followers or any stats that you have
Alright!! Will do. :))When you say bio, do you mean Goodreads bio, or is there like a bio on NetGalley?
Aurora wrote: "hi! sorry to bother, but what does “ARC” mean? i’m kinda new to goodreads & book reading groups 😅"it's short for advanced reader copies, which essentially is early copies book reviewers get to promote the book.
Soltana wrote: "Me: never read an arc before but still interested to see what the chat is about"That is how I discovered NetGalley hahhahha
since I've been tryinng for the last ten minutes to reply to @firelily and @laura, and not succeeding, i'll just write it hereyeah, but if you were approved for it, you cans till give feedback if you read it, but couldn't review before it was archived
Yes! I thought it was just me but I guess something's wrong with Goodreads today. I can't reply to anyone :(

i never tried this but what if u didnt review it before it was archived?can you still write a review after it gets archived??
Yes! You can still read and write review even if it's archived, I'm currently listening to an audiobook that was archived on Tuesday but I still have 30 days left before the download gets deleted off my phone

awesome! that book seems really cool.
I just woke up to being approved for 5 books when my review ratio was at 46%. Now it's down to only 40%, so that's good.

this is great, i'd also suggest adding your goodreads link in the bio, as well as the links section because soemtimes they ask you to do that if it doesn't show up in the links section
LyraFirefly wrote: "If you connect your goodreads account I think it automatically shows it to the publishers."It does, but the emails I've gotten form publishers still say to include in the bio so I just do it
OH MY GOD, I just got approved my first ARC ever, Where I Belong, who do I access the PDF on NetGalley of it?
