Advance Reader Copies (ARCs)

ooh that's really cool!
Do you people remember that hack I suggested for downloading ARCs by downloading ADE on the phone and then accessing the file through the laptop?yeah, that doesn't work if the file is .acsm somehow
even though i used it for downloading a protected epub file from a publisher not 2 months back
i'm just so pissed right now, an di even renamed the fuckyou.acsm
maybe that was a little extreme
but yeah, if anyone has any tips?
i usually use my chromebook, so what i did was download the file to my chromebook, share the file to my phone or laptop, and open it there if i'm having issues
human wrote: "i usually use my chromebook, so what i did was download the file to my chromebook, share the file to my phone or laptop, and open it there if i'm having issues"what are you sharing it through? and you're opeining through ade? and reading through ade as well?
chromebook is connected directly to google drive. i share the file through there and open it up on ade wherever i need to. the method is pretty jank lol sorry if it doesn't help 😅
human wrote: "chromebook is connected directly to google drive. i share the file through there and open it up on ade wherever i need to. the method is pretty jank lol sorry if it doesn't help 😅"so to summarise, you download the .acsm file on the chromebook, upload it to drive, access drive on device that has ade, and open through ade? it's not exaclty what i need, but it does help in eliminating methods!
so I've had about 10 books approved since I've been on Netgalley, and I've given feedback to about 5. But my feedback ratio is 30% instead of 50%, and I'm mad because I can't fix it. y'all know anything about this?
Heyyyy!! You can contact NetGalley just using their contact button and sending them a message! They'll respond almost immediately!
but I probably shouldn't have requested The Monarchs anyway since it's the second in a series that I haven't read
so i'm gonna try signing up for netgalley and i'm kinda confuseddo you know what i'm supposed to put for "company"?
and what did you guys do for your age?
Brooke wrote: "I AM DROWNING IN A SEA OF ARCS AND STRESS"ME TOO BUT IT'S GOING TO BE ALRIGHT. HOW MANY ARCS DO YOU HAVE?
really hoping I won't be rejected for Dial A For Aunties because a) I'm Indonesian and I desperately want this representation and b) I will be badly hurt if I amso

they better approve u
Erin wrote: "how long does it usually take for arcs to get accepted/rejected?"it depends on the publisher!! for me, it ranges from a week to a month ehe :')
well I requested three ARCs yesterday morning, received two rejections at night, and the other one came this morningbut I requested one last week and it's still pending
most of my approvals were a bit longer, but some of my ARCs were "read now" instead of "request"

Eeep yes the pressure
They can come in physical form but they're just books you get after they've been published to review.
I've gotten one physical review copy and two digitals.
FireLily wrote: "Anyway these are all the books I've been declined for*sob*

I've been declined for 6, and I too ave 5 pending requests
hang in there, you're not alone! (and i have two will not give feedbacks, because i do not have a kindle account, sadly)

oh you lucky ducks. I think I requested that a while ago, but my feedback percentage was horrible, so that's probably why they denied my request :(
Have you guys seen this?
It looks so promising. Reminds me so much of Red, White and Royal Blue. It's been ages since the last time I used NetGalley but I just have to read this.

it's on read now i believe, it sounds really interesting :)
I haven't been on NetGalley for such a long time but I just had to get this one. I believe it's on Read Now for just a couple of days so if you want it, you gotta get it before it's gone. But I don't know this for a fact, I might be wrong. Also, do any of you have tips for what I should write about on my NetGalley profile? Like what publishers might look for if they read it after I request a book.
try to keep it concise - include what genres you enjoy reading, where you post your reviews, stats, where the publisher can reach you, and any other information that's important/could convince publishers to accept your request.i would also suggest checking out what the publisher is looking for in a reviewer by going to their page and checking under 'view approval preferences' (i know that some publishers accept all requests, while others only accept booksellers/bloggers)
hope this helps :)

was this on netgalley? because i couldn't find it :/
In other news, since I've been stress requesting a lot of stuff, assuming I'd get declined for most of it, and then actually getting approved for most of it, my review ratio dropped to 39%now it's now to 37%
