How fast does Netgalley normally work? (I know that some books are immediate accept or immediate declines)

pretty fast I believe. Depends on the publisher though.

Just looked and I have a 50% feedback ratio. Wow FML

Holy shit- one of the characters is named Tal. One of the characters in my novel is named Tal...ITS A SIGN
so if you've given a lot of reviews, you're more likely to get accepted by publishers. (the ideal ratio is 80%.) So I've got 6 approved and 3 reviews written, and my ratio is 50%.
ALSO BROOKE CAN YOU HELP ME I GOT EDELWIESS AND I'M SO CONFUSED

Nikki- you just look up the title you want to request in the search bar in the upper right corner. Next to the title- there is a request button(if it's not there then it isn't available) and you hit it. Then in the little box, it asks you why you are requesting. You say a little bit about why, like: you love the author, supporting debuts, the cover, or the blurb. Hit the review copies button on the shelf to view requests/denials.

Ooh okay that sounds good!! And how do you browse if you're not looking for anything specific?

Same here I went on a netgalley spree when I made my account. I still go on netgalley once a day and request like 5-10 books
