Alina | 58 comments A.J. and his friends (Ryan, who will eat anything, even stuff that isn’t food) (Michael, who never ties his shoes) (Neil, who he calls the nude kid, even though he wears clothes) and (Alexia, who rides a skateboard all the time and doesn’t like anything girly) are off to meet Santa Claus in the mall. To A.J., Santa Claus is a hero by giving toys to kids and in his eyes, Santa Claus should get the No - Bell Prize. (He can’t actually because the No – Bell because they only give that prize to people who don’t have bells and Santa Claus has a lot of bells.) Once the kids reach the mall, they see Cray – Z’s tour bus in the parking lot. Cray – Z is actually a kid named Johnny Cray and he is a rapper who created his new hit song for Christmas “The Christmas Klepto”. A.J. says every girl in the world loves him and ever since Thanksgiving, the radio stations keep playing his song over and over again, which is why the song is stuck in A.J.’s head. Once inside the mall, the kids run into their classmates, Andrea (Little Miss Perfect) and her (Crybaby) friend Emily. The kids get in line to see Santa, only to find that the wait time will take hours, so A.J., Ryan, Neil, Michael, and Alexia go shopping for a present for A.J.’s sister (Amy) while Andrea and Emily save their place in line. While finding the perfect gift for Amy, Cray – Z runs into A.J.’s group while running away from a mob of girls, so A.J. pulls Cray – Z into the boys bathroom and Cray – Z asks A.J. for his help. A.J. tells Cray – Z to switch clothes, so he can handle his fans. Once Cray – Z’s fans are handled, A.J. tries to go into the bathroom again to switch clothes but gets pulled away by a security guard to sing Cray – Z’s new song. A.J. is able to sing the song and runs into the bathroom top switch clothes and Cray – Z tells him that he owes him one. The kids go back to the line for Santa and when it’s their turn, A.J. goes first. A.J. tells Santa what he wants and asks him a bunch of questions before getting off his lap. While getting off his lap. A.J.’s sweater gets caught on Santa’s beard and the beard comes off revealing that Santa is Mr. Klutz, his school’s principal. Suddenly, A.J. finds himself being chased by a mob of angry parents when Cray – Z grabs A.J. and pulls him into the bathroom, tells him to switch clothes again and lay low until the heat dies down. A.J. exits the bathroom dressed as Cray – Z and gets pulled back on stage to sing the song again. Once the song is over and the boys switch clothes again, A.J. asks Cray – Z for his autograph for his sister and Cray – Z signs his hat, telling A.J. that sometimes he wished he were in A.J. shoes.

I like this book because it has a lot of chain reactions with A.J. doing one thing and something else happening. This book and its series is full of crazy adventures and scenarios that will make the reader feel like a kid again. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
