We will be running another reading challenge from the 1st January to the 31st January, where once again the aim is to read as many books as you can during the month that fit the designated prompts. All participants will be sorted into randomly generated teams. Sign ups will close on the 31st December, and teams will be announced on the 1st January.

The prompts are divided into different prompt categories. Completing one prompt will earn you 2 bonus points, but completing an entire prompt category will earn you an additional 6 points. Here are the list of prompts in the marked spoiler tag:

Books may be from any genre and of any length. Only books read in January will count towards the challenge, but you may count books started in December and finished in January. You can earn points based on the number of pages in the book, and for other factors as shown below. For example, you may earn 2 bonus points if you include a review (attach the link) of the book. Your review doesn’t have to be elaborate, but still needs to contain words/sentences to count.

Page Points:

1 - 99 pages = 1 point
100 - 199 pages = 2 points
200 - 299 pages = 3 points
300 - 399 pages = 4 points
400 - 499 pages = 5 points
500 - 599 pages = 6 points
600 - 699 pages = 7 points
700 - 799 pages = 8 points
800 - 899 pages = 9 points
900+ pages = 10 points

Extra Points:

Prompt Completed = (+2) Points
Prompt Category Completed = (+6) Points
Buddy Read = (+2) Points
Manga/Graphic novel = (-2) Points
Review = (+2) Points
