Alex's Challenge for 2021

With many changes (and life challenges) abounding, I am going to take it a bit easier in 2021. To read 75 books (50 of my TBR / 25 new). Plus, relaunch my debut book and redraft the second, which, along family commitments, gives me a full schedule. Here's hoping.

Thanks Carolyn and to you too. A false start when I looked at my TBR list - no way I can offload 50 books there so I have revised it: 25 (min) already listed & 50 new titles.

Halfway through the year already and I am on track, with 44/75 read, 17 off my TBR list / 27 new titles, aiming at a ratio of 1:2.

Some new (to me) authors in there: Gregg Hurwitz and John Sandford, who I will read more off, though not as impressed with Christopher Fowler as I thought I would be.

Mid-September and I've reached 80% of my personal challenge 60/75 - 25 off my TBR and 35 new ones. A very bumpy year.

November: 66/75 read (27 off my TBR, 39 new ones). Need to close off the annual challenges, but some books are hard to get hold of - or too expensive.

8 December. Made it. 75 books read - 30 off my TBR list & 45 new, PLUS got my original debut novel revised under a new title and launched on Amazon, so feeling pretty good all round. Still plenty of work ahead.

Thanks Brenda. 75 is a manageable number of books and there's some very good ones in there. Better still NO DNF this year - though I browsed a couple and tossed them, but they were never added to GR.

Finished the year with 78 titles, 31 off my TBR list, 47 new. Taking into account new titles added in 2021, I only reduced my overall TBR list by 4 books, so moving up and down on the same spot.
