What did everyone think of the book for this month? Did you guys like it or hate it? Also what are some books that you want to read next month, so I can add them to the poll?

zoro (denkination) | 1 comments books for next month: the poppy war, city of brass

thoughts: from the characters to the plot to the writing to the pace, i think everything about the book is perfect. it’s rare that i find a book i would not change a single thing about, and These Violent Delights was one of those. the first paragraph of chapter 12 made me pause and rethink life and it’s meaning. the ending was unpredictable (to me) and the romance wasn’t rushed or ridiculous as some ‘enemies-to-lovers’ are. this book was complete, a 5 stars read. the tiny details in the story added up to its overall beauty. i love juliette’s strong character and bravado, and roma’s hidden softness. and the side characters, benedikt and marshall and kathleen and rosalind and even alisa, were fun too. the book is magical, i love the setting and the world chloe has created in the pages. i’m sad i’m done and i’m sure i’ll want to reread this book soon. can’t wait for the sequel!

Nora | 2 comments Tbh I had high hopes for the book, I didn’t hate it, its far from that, but idk I feel that somethings are missing and their relationship (by their time not the chapters) was moving a bit fast, everything started and ended so quickly. + I think there was not enough scenes of these two together. I know the main point of the book is not romance but yeah idk.

There will be a second book so I think I will like the book more and more after reading the rest of the story. Also, mars and ben’s scenes are SOO SHORT, WE NEED MORE OF THEM.

Cecilia (bab00skha) | 1 comments i loved the book like romajuliette had a lot of angst between them and all the sides characters were well developed. i love when side characters are well developed because it gives me a reason to keep reading the book in case the main ship gets boring. ALSO BENEDICT??? MARSHALL?? that end?? i’m literally dead.
have u read the new shot story the author released today?
