I read this first back in the late 70's. I'm a bit vague now on the characters, but there is a man trying to get to his wife who was last on the west coast of the US. The world has been ravaged by an unknown force that has caused wall of "time force" for lack of the words used in the novel. Each time a wave of "time" sweeps through, the characters are thrown into a different time, though in the same place. I do remember one vivid scene where they make a raft to cross a new ocean somewhere in the middle of the country and there are giant dinosaur like fish in the water. I THOUGHT the author was Gordon R Dickson but I can't find a familiar title or plot in his various bibliographies

I literally found the title immediately after posting this. It is TIME STORM and it was indeed Gordon R Dickson.
