A bit of a mixed bag of short stories, some longer than others, some more succesful than others. I was hoping for a really scary set of Christmas tales but I was disappointed. A couple had Christmas themes but I thought the title was a little misleading.

Most of the stories were a gentle read and quite predictable, holding few suprises. A pleasant enough way to pass the time but I had guessed the endings shortly after starting each one.

There are connections between some of the stories, the Witch Museum and some of the characters. Not having read any of her other works, I presume the connections appear in them also, as some of the characters and situations seem to presume a prior familiarity.

I enjoyed some of the stories more than others, Snowy and Death Becomes Her, but overall they were mostly instantly forgettable and hardly gripping material.
