It's all about the challenge for me too! It doesn't really matter whether you finish or not...just have fun searching. lol I'm glad you're in for next year.

I'll start working on a 20 + 22 Challenge to begin Jan. 1! I may have to repeat some of the directives, but I'll try to come up with some new too. If you have any ideas, share them with me here or message me!

I don't mind repeats. After I finished a couple, I found a book that I think I will enjoy more. I kept a record...just in case.

I'm okay with repeats. And I'll start thinking of others.
This year that oxymoron is stumping me. Big time. And out of my comfort zone? I read so many things that would be triggers for others and out of their comfort zone. I honestly don't know what would be out of my comfort zone. And if it was I don't read it. Like suspense, autobiographies, self help books.
But that hlaf the fun as me and Sandra say. Finding something that would be.

Too much angst is out of your comfort zone I think.

I read almost everything also, Michelle. It's hard for me to find things out of my comfort zone. But just choose anything other than your normal favorite. I know for me, I don't read much sci-fi so that's a possibility. I also don't read a lot of non-fiction so that's another possibility.

What would I do without you. Thank you Laura. Gojnf through my list tomorrow of read books that would be that.
Thing is. I read something I think this is sort of out of my comfort zone and land up thinkong at the end of the book it wasn't. I think I just need to define what that is for me.

Sandra but what would make you read it? That is what keep stumping me. I find something and think this is out of my comfort zone and then I never open the book to read 😂😅😆
But you are giving me an idea. Some time ago a friend was reading a book where the aliens was some animal or species I just wouldn't get past. She swore up and down it wasn't bad. And... Now I can't remember what it was. All I remember is that I couldn't even get all the way through her review because I kept shuddering

You’ve told me before you’ve skimmed some books because the angst got to you and you couldn’t take it. Stanton is one that I remember.
Or the next Experiment In Terror because it’s horror. That’s not your thing either

For oxymoron Accidentally On Purpose is angsty love triangle. Just a thought

If you go into it expecting it to be out of your comfort zone, then it counts! Even though you changed your mind after finishing it.

And how did I miss accidently on purpose?
I'm reading the Wolf hotel at the moment and almost done with the first book. Young adult. And one pov! She's a naive, innocent, Christian, farmgirl who is way over her head. All the ingredients to make me scringe.

I love that series! She does not stay naive for long lol. Hey if your cringing there's your out of comfort zone! Her mom made me cringe.
Accidentally On Purpose is lendable if you want me to loan it to you sometime. Loan good for 14 days.

I was wrong Accidentally On Purpose not a triangle it’s a quad.

Thanx. That would be much appreciated.

Go, Sandra! Can't wait to see what you come out with. And I personally don't mind if there are repeats. It'll be a new year with new books, after all.
For me, I like stretching out a bit, but the one genre that I don't seek out is horror. It's possible that a book I already have will be classified as such on the GR main page by some readers, but on purpose, noooo. I'm a scardy cat at heart. 😂

I enjoyed this challenge. I read a lot of books that I would normally pass by. Looking forward to next year.

Congrats, Renée!

This is great news Sandra! I really enjoyed this one and I'll definitely sign up to play again next year!😁

I actually completed group 2 & 3. Group 1 has 2 I just didn't manage.
As for suggestions? How bout including something from our tbr lists?
The 20 + 22 Challenge will go up today for sign-ups! As well as another challenge we hope you will enjoy. Check back later today for details!

I'll sign up for both even though I don't know what they are. I enjoyed doing them.

Just saw the new challenges. Love them. Now to decide if to join. Because I know I'll never... Well maybe that's too strong a word but I'll struggle with a few in the 20 +22 challenge. 😁

Join anyway! It's okay to struggle with a few...it's okay to not finish. I may not either. It's just for fun!

We have a Cold Case Scavenger Hunt in our Tall, Dark & Deadly group plus a couple of other cool challenges. I know many of you are in both groups and we'd love to have you check those out also.

Exactly! That's me...how many can I do??? lol

Thank you. I thought I knew how to do this but it doesn't look like it.
