I don't often read this genre, but I just finished Perestroika in Paris by Jane Smiley. A lovely story. Not what I expected :)
I read From Blood and Ash by Jennifer Armentrout. I think I have enjoyed every book I have read from her. I really liked this book. It is a non-traditional vampire book. I went on to read the next in the series (Kingdom of Flesh and Fire) and loved this one. I am anxiously waiting for the next one which is supposed to come out in April.
I read A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas, the 4th book in her Court series. Check this series out if you love your fantasy with lots of romance, soft world-building, and girl power all around.
I took a suggestion from an earlier post and read Perestroika In Paris. I listened to it on audio. It's not something I would have read if not for this challenge, so I appreciate the nudge.
I read Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. The main character is an android or Artificial Friend. I recommend this haunting and thought-provoking novel with Ishiguro's excellent writing.
I also took the suggestion from earlier and read Perestroika In Paris. I thought it was a cute story, but it wasn't the best thing I have ever read. I normally wouldn't pick something like this (this was the last prompt I had for the whole challenge and kept putting it off), but this is exactly why I love challenges like this - to get me out of my comfort zone! I enjoyed reading something different and I did enjoy the style of writing in this one.
