I'm another for the big Kahuna, and I keep it fresh by switching versions each year. This year I'm reading the parallel KJV and Amplified version (Zondervan large print), reading from Genesis and Matthew simultaneously. I am currently reading Jeremiah and 1Peter, along with re-reading through the psalms every few months, having previously re-read a proverb every day matching the day of the month for the past few years.
I can’t join in but like this idea and have done it for years but this time I am going to read The Story Bible in July 2021 for 31 days. I am going to read a chapter a day. My focus is more on who is the God I serve then on looking for nuggets that help me live right or deal with ministry.
I’m doing a chronological plan from The Bible Recap podcast. It’s been a fun and different way to go through the scriptures this year. I hope you all are enjoying your plans.

Reading the Bible like a novel kind of puts it in a different place. Helps you to look at other parts of the Bible your didn’t pay attention to. How is your plan coming along?

I have found it quite interesting since I never realized the some of the books from the Old Testament repeat some things from other books almost verbatim. Also like the historical context.

Also finished, just two chapters shy of completing my goal. Every once-in-awhile I listen to The Bible Recap podcast. Is it helping you read through the Bible?

I've accepted that this method of trying to get back in the habit of Bible reading just isn't working. I'm going to try and do some devotional reading plans instead rather than try to reach an arbitrary goal of number of books of the Bible read. So, I'm going to technically abandon the challenge.
Rachel wrote: "Rachel wrote: "Rachel wrote: "So, after finishing the new testament books in random order last year, my Bible reading habit fell to pieces for the first time in several years mainly because it was ..."Sometimes you just need to change things up. Often I find devotionals will pull me back into the Bible to read specific passages which help me more than trying to read through the Bible. God will bless you no matter which way you do this Rachel.

For the next coming year I am going to read the Bible thru but found this wonderful book I want to show you:
. I started to use it and its amazing and it has a pod cast to go along with the book! Highly recommend if you want to read thru the Bible again!!
Lyvita wrote: "Is this challenge offered for 2022?"The challenges for the new year is usually up around the 30th of Dec.
Lyvita wrote: "Is this challenge offered for 2022?"Lydia - yes this challenge will be offered in 2022. We will be posting challenges for 2022 the last week of December as they will only allow us to post 3 per hour. Since Staci, Andrea, and I are doing the challenges with Cheryl retiring as Challenge Master, that will make it easier for the three of us. They will not go live until Jan 1 though.
Completed my 12 for 12 Challenge. Read the 4 Gospels twice(our church was doing a study on healing), 1st & 2nd Timothy, Esther, Job, Psalms, Titus, Philemon, and Ruth. Currently reading Acts, but I think I might read some more of the smaller Old Testament books.

Love our new title Sarita - the Three Musketeers! We decided that it was too much for one of us as we all have busy lives, so we split it up. Just hope we can do as well as Cheryl did all by herself. She was an amazing Challenge Master!

She was but I'm sure the three of you will be able to fill her shoes :-)

Nancy we won't be using the trackers in 2022. You can either keep your own list on Goodreads by adding a shelf for each challenge, keep it on your computer, or keep it on paper. Whichever works best.
Thanks Everyone for responding. I’ll look for the new Challenge on December 31th. I have the Bible I’m going to use. Thanks again.
