help finding a book, please/

I read this book a long time ago' It may be 10 or fifteen years or less.
The main storyline is this:
A dragon shifter meets his mate who is a witch (I think). Is rather dissatisfied as he is immortal and his mate will die and leave him. So he doesn't treat her well, keep her prisoner in his house.
Actually after complaining to her grand aunt (or whatever, not meaning to be rude), she learned that she was in fact an Inverness or Angelini witch who are immortals. I remember to punish her mate she asked for more freedom and when he refused, she jumped from the window from several floor levels
