The best book I read in November (2020)

Quite belatedly (many apologies), I invite you to recommend your stand-out middle grade books from the month of November.

My two offerings include a classic that I somehow missed ever reading. The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare is a historical tale set during the life of Christ. A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat was exceptional. One of my top books for 2020.

Best of my new reads: The Court of the Stone Children by Eleanor Cameron and Dead Voices, sequel to Small Spaces by Katherine Arden.

The best middle grade book I read in November was Class Act by Jerry Craft.

The best book I read in November was . This was a Jamaican’s author debut, and it was lovely. The whole island culture and the characters that live there sweep you into a wave that doesn’t let go until the end. This story was interesting and subverted my expectations.

Also, I liked how this story tackled serious health issues, some physical and others mental, while still remaining light-hearted. The main character is also an aspiring YouTuber. Loved it.
