I don't exactly remember when I read this book...I'll give the range of 2003-2009.

What I remember is a young boy is visiting family and goes for a walk. He gets lost in the woods and comes across a woman asleep in a glass coffin. The woods are cursed of course and he gets chased out of there. Traumatized by it. He comes across the princess again as an adult and saves her. There is a wicked evil of some kind that is then unleashed and they have to work together to defeat it.
