As someone who has been a fan of Daniel since practically the beginning of the career I honestly believe this is some of his best work. This was his debut studio album which was released on August 25th, 2017 and is the only album of his that I consistently listen to years later. Although he has had work released as recently as 2019, nothing compares to this album. Being an R&B singer, Caesar expresses subtle Biblical messages with an amazingly comforting voice. My favorite song would be "We Find Love" as it is a slow ballad filled with nostalgia of past relationships. I also really enjoy "Best Part" ft. Kali Uchis which is what introduced me to another favorite artist, who along with Daniel fills my everyday playlist over three years later. The song is another slow love ballad but this time focuses on the praises of a new relationship, and how simple the joys are of being around someone who cares about you as much as you care about them. It reminds me of the honey-moon phase of a relationship while "We Find Love" depicts life post this phase. Overall I would rate this album a 5/5, as this is one album where I feel like I can say that all the songs speak to me in one way or another. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't heard it and enjoys R&B albums, as I feel it can appeal to everyone even with religious undertones. Caesars latest album doesn't generate the same feelings for me but his work is still very impressive. If his next works do elicit the same response, I can guarantee that I will be listening on repeat.
