A major aspect of the story was the police procedurals. The team quickly figured out how the girls were taken and the witness. Your opinion of how they gathered, assembled and deduced the clues?

Lynn (ftbooklover) Some of the clue collection was very realistic - especially since all of the clues had some bearing in the story, even if they were only meant to eliminate people as suspects. Also doling them out slowly made it seem more like a real case would be rather than throwing out all the relevant clues at the end which might have left readers feeling cheated. It also built up the suspense as the story developed.

One of the things I love about this series is the procedural aspects. It gives me such pleasure to see how they attack the investigation, gather and assemble clues and then form deductions. Great detectives don’t follow one path; they let the investigation guide them to narrower ones before they start reining in suspects. This team, under Kim’s leadership, is excellent at it. She plays to their strengths and encourages them to form theories.
