Bleh yeah romance lowers ratings for me too, but this book so far is incredible :D Probably end up as a 5-star. Tbh when I start getting more into adult high fantasy they'll all be more amazing than the YA I fall back to, because the romance isn't always just expected, and when it does occur it might be a bit different.

Sometimes with adult romance aspects the characters don't spend pages and pages thinking about their feelings. You may get a sex scene or something and the rest of the story continues.

I'm back for one sprint now, because my bf's home on a break from work and interrupted my cleaning. So once he's gone I shall get back to cleaning the house, because why not when I'm in the mood right XD

Then I just need to sprint rest of the time before my work so I can get my pages read.

If you could stand the romance-y part, yes. I like the magic and faction parts of the book.
