34. A book about a social justice issue: Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning I feel like "social justice issue" reduces the complexity in the book somehow, but it's true that Cathy Park Hong touches on the specific experiences of Asian-Americans reckoning with the flaws of the United States.

Prompt 24. A book by a Muslim American author
And the Mountains Echoed

✅13. A locked-room mystery ➡️ Arsène Lupin. Gentleman-inbreker
There was a definite locked room mystery in one of the stories.

Just finished prompt for Muslim American author - The Bad Muslim Discount by Syed M. Masood. There was so much to love in this novel - the complex characters, the writing, and the different perspectives. There was also a lot of truth, about how each person can experience the divine differently, how conformity backfires, and how to be brave. A difficult subject matter at times, but it’s an important difficulty, especially now. I received this book as a free giveaway in exchange for my honest review. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars
