Leni Iversen (leniverse) | 1285 comments Wow, great progress. The Old and New is the challenge I always fail, so I haven’t even tried for the past couple of years. But I have a tendency to be overly ambitious and optimistic with big tomes. Maybe next year I’ll try it with novellas like you have done. Although I have certainly met enough novellas that felt as long as eternity. Lol

Good luck with the rest!

Yoda was correct in saying, "Size matters not."

Glad to hear you finished your Old and New challenge. I sidetracked on mine and I'm stuck at 8 read, still lots of time, fingers crossed.

Marilyn | 720 comments Finished Winter Wheat and the Women Authors Decade Challenge is complete.

Currently reading Love Among the Chickens by P.G. Wodehouse.

Thanks, Carolien. Finishing the remaining two challenges seems doable.

Marilyn | 720 comments I finished Devil in a Blue Dress and that completes the Century Challenge. I thought about adding a couple of 21st century decades but the end of the year grows near.

The 2nd Place or Worse Challenge needs two more books. Gösta Berling's Saga will be one of them. Not sure about the other.

Congrats on the finish, Marilyn. I'm also in for the Gösta Berling's Saga read. You are really close to another finish there.

Marilyn | 720 comments My four challenges are completed!

With The Saga of Gösta Berling the 2nd Place or Worse Challenge is done. This is a great challenge. My choices rarely win the polls.

Favorite book: Miss Mole by E.H. Young. This is one of those books that leaps out of obscurity and surprises you.

Carolien (carolien_s) | 894 comments Congratulations, Marilyn! I must add Miss Mole to my TBR.

I did a spreadsheet with the non-winners, Marilyn and was surprised to find that my choice has never won an Old School poll.

I have Miss Mole on the TBR. I will pump it up the ladder.

Kathleen | 5472 comments I really enjoyed both of your last two books, Marilyn, and I hope you did too! Congratulations on completing your challenges!
