Benjamin looked up at Jesse "Well that's the first time in five years that you've used the phrase 'Jesse and Benjamin'... like we're a group... a pair..." He said, pushing down a wave of gratitude toward Jesse.
Benjamin shook his head "No... it's fine..." He said, quietly "It just... it felt good to hear...."
Benjamin looked up the foot and a half into Jesses eyes. "Why?" He asked, sincerely
"Why... everything? What happened?" He looked hurt. he pushed his glasses away and wiped his eyes, then put them back on. "You... you promised we would always be best buds.... forever..."
Benjamin sighed. "Yeah... You're right. I thought it'd be forever but... forever is a long time. I guess time changes people..."
Benajmain nodded sadly. "I miss you..."
He nodded slowly, frowning a litte. "You were my first real friend...."
"Why not...?" He asked <.b> "Is it because you're a big popular football guy now?"
"Everyone deserves care, J..." Benjamin said "You know that, right?"
He stopped next to a table in the library and turned to face Jesse. Benjamin placed his small, pale hand on Jesse bigger one. "Jess... I'm serious."
Benjamin sighed and squeezed Jesse's hand "I forgive you..."
"Because... that;s what friends do... they forgive each other."
Benjamin shrugged "Like I said, friends forgive each other."
Benjamin sighed, and shook his head "We all have damage, Jess."
He nodded solemnly. "Yeah, you did. You kept on doing it. Over and over. Day after day, and it hurt. But we move on. Can't we just be normal?"
"It could be what I want... if you let me in..."
He shrugged "Maybe you just haven't tried."
"Okay... well first off, my dad finally left."
he nodded. "Mom and I are alot better off."
he nodded "I had a girl friend for a whe but then... well let's just say I realized my heart belong to someone else..." he looked up at Jesse, blushing
he nodded "so uh... what about you?"
Benjamin looked at him skeptically
"Oh, wow! I bet its adorable! Whats its name?"
he grinned "Oh my gosh!" he said, bouncing up and down like a girl "She sounds adorable!"

Benjamin didnt squeezed it gently under the table. It was alot easier to not have a mental breakdown with Jesse there
Garrison nodded smugly. "Good. Well, finish beating up this pansie, or whatever, and hurry up and get outside. We're ditching the rest of the day. Lexis throwing a killer party and we were all invited. You might be able to get some, eh?"
