Hi! I've read the librarian's manual and searched numerous threads for the answer to my question: I'd like to merge two identical editions, and the manual says to first "(s)eparate the duplicate and its actual edition from any other editions of that book." However, I do not know what to click on to separate these two books from the other editions. Can you please tell me how to separate them? Thanks!

To separate: go to the combine page. There are 2 ways, depending on the number of editions to separate.To separate one edition from all other editions: at the end of each edition is: details - edit - separate.
Via separate you can separate that edition from the other editions.
To separate more than one edition from the other editions. Go to the combine page, at the end of the editions is a link: separate tool. In the separate tool you can separate one or more editions into a new work.

You can also just click on the "all editions" link on the book page and on the right there will be a separate option.It is also usually a better idea to post in the thread below to have a Super Librarian do the actual merge/delete.

Thank you for the info.The librarian's manual says that regular librarians can make these changes, too, although anyone who does it must be careful.

I have separated the two Kindles from the paperback, but cannot merge because apparently there is a bug at the moment and some edits cannot be saved. So it will have to wait.
I saw you had combined the editions again. I re-separated the Kindles from the paperback and merged the ASIN-less edition, then recombined: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...
