Just got Thomas Cromwell: The Untold Story of Henry VIII's Most Faithful Servant enjoying it very much
Seems fitting, what with the reburial, n all.Oh I saw on telly last night they've got a graphic that looks like this.
R III P
How horrid, eh?
Just downloaded, Top Banana. The Ghost Fields Fingersmith looking forward to reading each one of them.
From what I have read of your novels up to now Kath you are quickly moving up my favourite author list. I am sure I will enjoy Top Banana just as much as the other two.
The Reznik Proposal. Great adventure story set in the middle east, London, and Europe. I've not downloaded anything since, but am going to read some stuff I've downloaded some time ago but never had the chance to read.

Sounds like the kind of smoothies I make. LOL
I drink smoothies to try to up my vegetable intake but often I find I can't look at them before I gulp them down because they're just so off-putting to look at. I last downloaded A House Called Askival by Merryn Glover, which is on sale for £1.09 at the mo. Love a bargain. I haven't bought anything above a fiver for a long time.
It's about a woman who returns to her home in a mountainous region of India after a long time, to tend to her sick father who was a missionary. Goes between their perspectives, covers the post-Partition period of time in history, and the reviews by people who lived through that say it's really accurate, which is a huge part of why I downloaded i it because I don't really read non-fiction but I do enjoy learning something from the fiction I read. Have really loved it, it really moved me and made me think about it after I finished, and it's beautifully described too.
Douglas Lindsay is one of my favourite authors Anita. I particularly enjoyed his Barney Thomson series, these Hutton ones are pretty visceral as I remember!I don't really do freebies any more Patti. Unless I see something that I would have got anyway

I have never read him before Rosemary so it's nice to hear you say that you enjoy his work.
I don't often go for the freebies but this one did draw my eye and I would have bought it anyway. I stopped getting loads of freebies when I got my voyage, I don't want this one to get so full of books so I am being very careful about what I buy and what I keep on my kindle.
Looking forward to reading the Douglas Lindsey.
I've just joined Kindle Unlimited and at the moment it's free for a month so I'm trying to resist downloading a gazillion books giggle. I've downloaded a couple of short stories by Susan Hill, Irish Twins and A Breach of Security aswell as Crow Hollow and The Long Run. I'm looking forward to reading the novels The Photographer's Wife and Yellow Crocus. I'm currently reading The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B.. I love having instant downloadable content :)
I've just finished the last in the series that I mentioned above, it came out at the start of the week. It was another fantastic book and definitely recommended if it interests you. The Master Magician
I got The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers on a recommendation from the C.J. Samson group I am in.
Anyone read The Paying Guestsby Sarah Waters? If so, what did you think? I loved Fingersmith and Tipping the Velvet, so wondering if it is as good? Thanks.
Anna wrote: "Anyone read The Paying Guestsby Sarah Waters? If so, what did you think? I loved Fingersmith and Tipping the Velvet, so wondering if it is as good? Thanks."I did, a few months ago. I thought it was only okay. It wasn't well-paced. I slogged my way through it.

Arggh, that's bad news. Thanks for your opinion Patti, might hold off for a bit then....
Yeah, really disappointing as I loved her other books. I tried to love The Paying Guests but just couldn't.
Enjoyed a Goodreads Indie Authorfest during my recent stay in Yorkshire.Rosa's Gold - A Story of Holocaust Echoes
London Dark
A Single To Filey: A DCI Tony Forward Novel
Thrawn Thoughts and Blithe Bits
Every one 5 star for very different reasons.
Correction Stuart....GREAT not good and I will include you in my list as I finished Elysian Wonderland just a couple of weeks ago. It was like finding a Picasso in a room full of old masters. Mind blowing and refreshingly original. Loved it!
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Just got this for 19phttp://bookhippo.uk/?asin=B00NLGBML6&..."
I've just got it. It's the sort of book I like. Thanks for the heads up Desley.
It's odd as usually it's the first book that's free.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Moved 21 books onto my voyage today. I swore I'd not overload it but I've now got 42 books on it. Sigh.Bought Darren's new Ward book, The Silence of the Mimesof course, which got ..."
Generally speaking I try to avoid having more than one new book on my kindle until I move it to my 'finished' folder. I did however go on a bout last month and downloaded four books before finishing the one I was currently reading. I just finished the last of them yesterday.
Mistborn trilogy
Morningstar
Wheel of Time # 1
and First Chosen
Be interested to know what you thought about the Wheel of TimeA mate of mine has them ALL
He reckons if you go through the lean spell in the middle they improve :-)
Jim, I did not like the first one too much. It didn't motivate me to pick up the second immediately after it, but it did pick up pace by the very end. I'll have to come back to you when I read a few other WoT books.
My friend has all 16 books (14+2 extra) which looks impressive on a shelf but I've never been tempted to borrow them

A quick flick back and it turns out Kitty was constipated and finally relieved herself on the 19th, maybe it is to that you were referring to :o)
I'm starting to work down my collection on the Kindle after reducing my DTB collectionBecause of the Battle of Britain and my own personal interest, I'm currently reading the superb Geoffrey Wellum book, First Lght. A fabulous sutobiography. I know he makes it, but his descriptions make it a real white knuckle ride.
When I've finished this I'm moving onto the Douglas Bader book. It'll be an opportunity to contrast the two.
