I am looking for books dealing with characters, who are about to escape or flee from somewhere. Like fleeing their country because of political reasons ect.
I'm specifically interested in stories focusing on physiological/metal and or physical/practical preparation of character before they act on their plans. Or on the philosophical aspect of their intent.
Looking for characters in fiction as well as non-fiction.
Any time period welcome. Could be contemporary, probably prefer 20th Century though.
Hey Chris, I cannot think of a better book that I've read on the topic but that titled "Not without my daughter" by Betty Mahmoody if I remember rightly - it's based on a true story.

Thanks a lot for any ideas!
