I've recently been made aware of a GoFundMe campaign started earlier this year by a young woman, with multiple disabilities, whose post-college employment search was negatively impacted by the pandemic, and who has serious financial difficulties as a result of being without much income for several months. (She now has a job, but won't be paid until January.) I'm not soliciting donations on her behalf (though I believe her need to be a legitimate one), but I did promise to share the link to her GoFundMe page, here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/covid-era-... . After the success of the GoFundMe campaign referred to in message 1 above, the young lady in question was able to obtain a short-term college teaching position to support herself. However, with the end of the school year, the contract for that teaching position has now expired. That loss of income, coupled with ongoing medical expenses and the sudden demise of a 10-year-old refrigerator (taking much of her food supply with it) has forced her to revive her GoFundMe site. Good news regarding the comment above! In the last few days, the lady I spoke of has gotten a job which fell into place suddenly, with the prospect that it will be a stable one. Thanks to those who were able to help, with prayers and/or financial support!
