Hans Rosling's Factfulness gave Wanderlustful a thought that has helped her withstand the despair of the newscycle, “just because something is bad doesn't mean it isn't also getting better.” Rosling, a Swedish physician, wanted people to let go of outdated ideas by looking at data and statistics. Is there a fact that makes you feel better about the world?

It's not from a book, but knowing my nephews are here is a big thing. And especially my oldest nephew. He's special needs, but if you give him the chance/time/play with him? OMG! You will see the most pure soul ever! And actually there is a book: some silly 8x8 book I gave him about superheroes. He read it to me, in his own special way. So thank you superheroes for letting me share my love of books with him. (And yes, thank you superheroes for another book about Spiderman I used to share with the other two).

I thought it was pretty amazing that the Scottish government voted unanimously in support of free universal access to period products. It's encouraging to see public health advances like this.
