dID you see my pick for you?

I call it P&P meets Poldark! I only read it based on a dusty challenge here last yr or the year before or ....

Wowsedow, your list contains very interesting books. The year in between appeals to me a lot and sobthat is what I choose for you. Hope you enjoy it.

I enjoyed it!! The friendship between the captains was especially entertaining. Needed more "Crofts". 4.0-4.25

If you want, please make another choice for me. Or, I will choose one I have been moving back in the list for far too long.

yes I did thank you

That is the very one I have been moving to the back of the list!
I rarely read modern JAFF and I know the story does a flashback 200 years to the Regency but I never read it. I will now.
Thanks

Thank you so much for picking ‘Fallen’ by Jessie Lewis.
Like Rose,I was impatient to start it and so as I delved in straight away.Needless to say,I adored it and highly recommend it to fellow Austen lovers. It’s simply a fantastic, twisty and cleverly plotted story. 👍🍀

That's super! I haven't read it yet, but I saw several rave reviews and want to get to it eventually. You've enticed me to bump it up the list.

Also, Mary, so glad you enjoyed Fallen by Jesse Lewis. That one is on my impossibly long TBR list!

It now bares a freshly minted claim to my personal top ten JAFFs and has usurped 'Mr Bennet's Dutiful Daughter' as my favorite of Ms Starnes- I had not that high of expectation! A warm thank you to MichelleH for sentencing me to read it first, sage advice it proved!
If you are of the mind to be privy to my ravings you may find them disclosed here;

Abigail; Thank you for the kind feedback, I aim to tease & please in my reviews.
admom; I have devoured 'Miss Darcy's Companion', and as to 'The Unthinkable Triangle' it is on my list but I am putting it off.
I am not yet recovered from the emotional rollercoaster that was my last yarn featuring the unholy love triangle, Carolyn Whyte's two part epic 'Denial & Deliverance'.
It is excellent and one of my favorites, but it left me in shreds.
When I am ready to be hurt again I will venture once more unto the breach.

However, you simply have to read Joana’s book. It’s so heartbreaking and so beautifully worded, you’ll simply lose yourself while the rest of the world ambles by.
Looking forward to reading your thoughts when/if you venture towards that angst filled tale.

I'm a huge fan of Mark Brownlow. So the choice is....
2. Cake and Courtship by Mark Brownlow
Happy reading!!"
Kirk! What a fantastic book, I loved it! I plan to read Book 2 soon. Thanks so much for the recommendation.

I'm so glad (and relieved) you loved 'The Falmouth Connection.' Your review was fantastic. You put into words what I have felt but not been able to express about Joana's work, so I thank you for that! Your insights and recognition of the intelligence in her writing just rang that 'Yes! Yes! Yes!' bell inside me.

I think my comment was worded poorly when I said I was 'putting it off' I didn't mean permanently of my list, I am just procrastinating reading it until I can once again handle that particular angsty triangle subject, I am sure I'll be in fighting trim soon!
MichelleH; Ms Starnes writing is truly brilliant, there can't be two opinions on that!

Great news indeed ☺️!
Howdy, Shifra!
I finished Sons of Pemberley and was uplifted and charmed by it. Great pick for me. :)

Sophia,
This is welcomed news! I can now admit- having not read it myself- I took the opportunity of the challenge to have a ‘taster’ precede me. I am most relieved it is proved innocuous to consumption! 😜

No worries, I do that all the time for this activity. It's a lovely, light charmer for when you want something gentle.

I did write one, but I am using it for a guest review at Austenprose blog and she prefers the review appear first on the blog. So, as soon as that happens on Feb 17th, I'll be able to post it here on GoodReads. I'll attempt to remember to let you know. :) Very kind of you to show an interest.
More like every three months, Sam. I try to change it up with a Scavenger Hunt type of read, a fun game/group read, and this one.

So, bearing this deadline in mind, I will announce that I have finished The Elizabeth Papers with hours to spare!
Thank you to abmom for pushing me to read this excellent story.
