I see what Jerilyn was getting at about the trial. Mason's attack in C25 is vicious. It's hard to see Clyde getting out of this.
You would think with how long each chapter was during the trial that things would get tedious. Dreiser is just so talented at picking apart every single defense Clyde had. It's so well written!
Agreed, Clyde made so many mistakes I hadn't even picked up on. Feels like a forensics expert wrote this book.
