Gail Meath (goodreadscomgail_meath) Well, the promotional funds dwindle in lieu of gifts:)

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments No, I try to keep to business hours for my writing and all the other things I do as a writer, even when my husband has a break from work - though he's recently retired. But we haven't gone away for holidays for a long time, so I find it's OK to stick to those hours. However, I do think it's important to take breaks through the day, so I try to do a couple of one-mile walks each day at least. I come back to the computer feeling refreshed and can bring fresh ideas with me on my return. Writing is all about problem-solving and decision-making, but often I find my subconscious supplying those solutions and decisions while I'm exercising - even though I'm not consciously thinking about them.

Jim Vuksic | 1227 comments I have been retired for the past 19 years, so everyday is a holiday. The only occasional distractions experienced are contact with my four adult children, four grandchildren, and two sons-in-law, which are always welcome and enjoyed.
