@ Sarah I think Sorcery of Thorns works for dark academia because she's lived at the library training for years. It's a trade in knowledge so you could stretch it.

Wondering where to put Midnight Sun. I see some posts suggesting that it may fit 'oxymoron title'; however, I see other posts suggesting that this is not a good fit (i.e. a not a true oxymoron). Other categories?

I'm starting In the Dream House--would this count for Social Justice Issues? Genre Hybrid? Another prompt?
Hey guys! Hope all of you had a good start into 2021^^ Does anyone know which tropes fit "Warbreaker" by Brandan Sanderson? Or A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab ?
Julia wrote: "Hey guys! Hope all of you had a good start into 2021^^ Does anyone know which tropes fit "Warbreaker" by Brandan Sanderson? Or A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab ?"Warbreaker has multiple locations, but I can't remember if they would be considered countries or not. Is the setting a place you would like to visit in 2021? Have a lot of people mentioned that they have read this book?
I have A Darker Shade of Magic down for dream job or sign (Cancer).
Natalia wrote: "Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk? Not suitable for dream job or somewhere I want to visit haha"Great book! I can only think of #40 : Favorite past prompt -- Book that takes place in 24 hours or 1 day. I forget that exact wording of the prompt. I think it was in challenge year 2019.
I'll think about it some more, and see what other prompts come to mind.
Would anyone count Ursula Le Guin's The Dispossessed as Dark Academy (I can count as happening in 2 countries where I have it now but I am confused with the dark academy prompt and if something like this could count - it is involving corruption in the academy in a sci fi setting)
Anyone know Everett the book by Lee Child called Killing Floor might fit for the 2021 classifications?? Also Joy for Beginners??
Chloé wrote: "Does The Viscount Who Loved Me fit into any category?"Yes, I also plan on reading all the Bridgerton books! This one, and I think almost all, have a family tree. I've also found spots for book 3 and 4, if you need suggestions.
Haven't started looking at the rest yet

Family tree! Perfect. Thank you! And yes, suggestions for book 3 and 4 would be greatly appreciated ◡̈
Book #3, An Offer From a Gentleman, is about Benedict. I put that as a book that has a heart, spade, diamond or club on the cover. There are diamonds on the shoes. Or art/artist prompt, as Benedict is an artistBook #4, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, is about Colin. You can put it under body positivity or dream job if (view spoiler) (spoiler if you haven't watched all of Season 1 on Netflix).
Book #5, To Sir Phillip, With Love, is about Eloise. I haven't looked too deeply into this one, but supposedly Eloise is writing letters all the time to people, so if your dream job is to be a writer that could work here too.
And of course, if you'd like to visit London, they all fit. If not in book 2, at some point it will be 3 generations. The mom (Violet), kids (MCs), and their kids. You can also visit my TBR and see them all on my bookshelf! More than happy to loan it out!

Killing Floor fits under the following prompts:
17 - A book that has the same title as a song (Killing Floor by Howling Wolf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGIE2...)
23 - A book with something broken on the cover (bullet holes in the document)
Possibly 40 - Your favourite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge
If your zodiac was a Scorpio it would fit 4 - A book by an author who shares your zodiac sign
I haven't read the book so it may fit others as well but in a quick glance was able to determine those.
In terms of Joy for Beginners the most obvious prompt is 27 - A book about do-overs or fresh starts
These prompts may also fit:
40 - Your favourite prompt from a past POPSUGAR
37 - A book you think your best friend would like (hint, hint)
30 - A book set somewhere you'd like to visit in 2021
12 - A book you have seen on someone's bookshelf (n real life, on a Zoom Call, in a TV show, etc.)
Has anyone read The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes and can suggest prompts that it would fit?The Naturals

I was wondering If i can get help with , where would you put Verity by Colleen Hoover for the challenge. Has anyone else read the book? By the way it is great
I’d really like to read Girl, Woman, Other and thought I recalled seeing that it could satisfy the art prompt - anyone know if this would work?

Big Little Lies would work for something broken on the coverAn American Marriage - isn't that one that won' the women's prize for fiction?
Cindi wrote: "Big Little Lies would work for something broken on the coverAn American Marriage - isn't that one that won' the women's prize for fiction?"
OH! Thank you! I didn't have good books for either of those prompts yet :)
Chloe, I actually haven’t read past book #1 yet. The show is really focused on daphne and Simon, but there is a big spoiler in the last episode that I believe is revealed in book 4. There are also what I assume will be some featherington spoilers, but they were barely mentioned in book 1 and don’t look to be that influential till book 4. There are side stories for the other siblings, but they don’t go very far. It’s likely the show will go in order of the books, but not much about the bridgertons seems to be in the show that isn’t mentioned in the descriptions.
Basically, the show is lovely and I think you should still go ahead and watch.
Hello! I have two books I am trying to fit onto my PopSugar list!1. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
2. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Thanks in advance!
For Little fires Everywhere, you can put it under social justice issue (racism/prejudices) or book about art/artist.
I hope it hasn't already been asked already.... Where would these fit:
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
Amelia wrote: "Hello! I have two books I am trying to fit onto my PopSugar list!1. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

Neverwhere would definitely fit the "book about forgetting" prompt
don't know how to quote, but @Alicia Luchetti was so nice to offer some advice on the Bridgerton series. I only can't seem to find anything about book #1 (the Duke and I). my ebook doesn't have a family tree and it has the series promotional photo as a cover...

I only found it because I'm weird and feel like I have to turn every page, even if it is an e-book.
Some others for Duke and I, which may be a stretch, but I always think about how this is an individual challenge, so if it fits for you, it fits!
- book about do-overs and fresh starts: Simon has some serious daddy issues that have hindered him from looking towards a relationship, marriage, kids, etc. And the book is about him trying to break through from that.
- dream job: personally my dream job is to not have a job and be well off enough to just live and give and "work" at charities. That is in fact what Daphne does.
- place you'd like to visit: do you want to visit London?
- and if you end up reading this towards the end of the year, it will likely be a book everyone has read except you
Eris wrote: "I know it has a family tree in the front, but I had another book lined up for that category I wanted to read. Would We Were Liars by E. Lockhart fit in any other categories?"We Were Liars would also fit the category of a book about forgetting. Hope that helps :))
Hi there! New here. Could Malorie (second installment of Bird Box) be considered a fresh start or do-over? I don’t like reading too much into books because then I feel I can guess the entire book. Thanks in advance! (:
I have to read Man's Search for Meaning and I can't figure out if/where it would fit. any suggestions?
Debbi wrote: "I have to read Man's Search for Meaning and I can't figure out if/where it would fit. any suggestions?"Someone is bound to have it on their bookshelf. Maybe you are passionate about the subject of World War II? It is a book set in multiple countries (Austria, Germany, Poland). A book set somewhere you'd like to visit if you are interested in the tours at Auschwitz. A book everyone has read but you. A prompt from a past challenge (I used it last year for the book written in the 20th century prompt).
Does anyone have any suggestions for where Jodi Picoult’s Small Great Things Would fit? Thanks in advance!
monica gaither wrote: "Does anyone have any suggestions for where Jodi Picoult’s Small Great Things Would fit? Thanks in advance!"oooh! i have this under the dream job prompt, she's a labor & delivery nurse. it would also work for the prompt about a social justice issue.
Can anyone help, my first book I read this year was Starve Acre by Andrew Michael Huntley, then I decided to do this challenge, has anyone got any idea what prompt i can put it under, many thanks

It's ALMOST black and white cover (depends on how strict you are there)
It MIGHT be magical realism.
Was it a genre-hybrid?
Does it involve three generations?
Was there anything about forgetting?
Was it set mostly outdoors?
Was it about do-overs?
Would your best friend like it?

I just got two books from my wait list today (of course!) and need to know where they fit!The Midnight Library
and
What You Wish For
Thank you!
8 women's prize for fiction, 29 a book set in multiple countries, maybe 33 for multy generations, Prompt from past years (3 word title)

I have Midnight Library down for a book on a subject you are passionate about. i.e. books. I just started it and I think it would fit magical realism as well.
