Jeanne Wilson | 11 comments Constrasting Adel's father with Edmond as a father. From what we've seen so far, Edmond would never push his daughter into marriage with a man who physically abused her. He actually rescued her from that horrible Lord Vile, maybe subconsciously.

Yes Tanya. I too am happy that the Hero is not a rake. Makes a refreshing change. 👍🏻

Yea, I liked how Edmond was as a caring person in general, father and then husband. That was a refreshing piece to it.

I read this a few days ago and remember that I enjoyed it at the time, but now that I come to add comments on it I find that I cannot remember anything about it. I do know that I did feel that I would be happy to read more by the same author and in the same series.

Good to hear 🙂 — I added this to my series challenge.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 584 comments I finished the book today. Better late than never!

It was a light and fun read without too much angst.

I agree with everyone's comments about Evie. Her actions are unforgivable and not those of someone who calls herself a friend. It is only pure luck that it turned out well for Adel.

I also agree with Madison's comments about the "unnatural" feel to the characters. (view spoiler)

Also, the numerous grammatical errors pulled me out of the story several times.

One final element that seemed strange - (view spoiler)

Despite these issues, I loved the romance and Adel and Edmond have amazing chemsitry. I will continue with the series.
