pop your TBR or books you're considering below- then come back in February and..."
I really enjoyed All Boys Aren't Blue (audio) and I'm hoping to get to Black Sun, also 👍🏻👍🏻

it's not ok to feel blue is an essay collection (and a thicc one at that) so i plan to read a couple of the essays every day. white teeth is also a thicc book and i'm very intimidated by, so i hope i get along with it!

since I really want to read more classics this year, I'm choosing "The Red and the Black" by Stendhal. I have no idea what to expect, so I hope I'll like it!

Spinning Silver will be a reread and it was one of my top reads of 2019.

The House in the Cerulean Sea, Spinning Silver, Concrete Rose, Orange Is the New Black and White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism are all on my TBR, definitely going to get to 'The House in the Cerulean Sea and Spinning Silver and I'll see how the rest of my reading goes!

I honestly have no idea which to start reading first.

Here is what my tbr looks like hopefully, I'll be able to get to all of these:
The Black Veins
The Black Kids
Black Enough: Stories of Being Young & Black in America
Black Girl Unlimited
Black Sunday

Angel of Greenwood

Red Pill

Noopiming: The Cure for White Ladies

Then I also have:
How Long 'til Black Future Month?

I am about 20 pages in and am intrigued so far.

Already finished all systems red (it’s a novella) and what a great start! (4stars) and can’t wait to continue that collection!

Really nostalgic experience. I loved the film growing up (I don't think it gets talked about enough), so reading this just reminded me of so much of the stuff that happened.
I will say, for a book that included facts about insects and tried to disprove false information, having a maneating rhino... like okay???????
Nevertheless, it was a nice quick read.
