I really enjoyed All Boys Aren't Blue (audio) and I'm hoping to get to Black Sun, also 👍🏻👍🏻
I only plan on reading one but can't decide between four options: City of Brass, Red Sister, Onyx & Ivory, or A Crown for Cold Silver. Leaning toward City of Brass but I'm sure I'll change my mind in thr next couple of weeks.
i think i'm gonna extend this buzzwordathon round to the whole month, because i have a good amount of books i want to get to.
it's not ok to feel blue is an essay collection (and a thicc one at that) so i plan to read a couple of the essays every day. white teeth is also a thicc book and i'm very intimidated by, so i hope i get along with it!
I'm planning on reading The Green Mile by Stephen King and Across The Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire!
I'm going to read The Scarlet Letter. I've been too intimidated to read this before but figure now is the time!
This month I will be reading Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. I thought I had already commented but didn’t see it so throwing it out there again. Spinning Silver will be a reread and it was one of my top reads of 2019.
I'm between City of Brass and Get a Life, Chloe Brown for this prompt. I'll probably end up reading both throughout the month.
I'm gonna read the Black Flamingo. I'm really exited because it's my first time reading a book written in verse.
I’m planning on reading “Red, White & Royal Blue”... I’m not super excited but this book is on my TBR since it was published 2019.
My Tbr...The House in the Cerulean Sea, Spinning Silver, Concrete Rose, Orange Is the New Black and White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism are all on my TBR, definitely going to get to 'The House in the Cerulean Sea and Spinning Silver and I'll see how the rest of my reading goes!
Okay wow, I have found quite a few books, actually on my tbr for February's theme!
I honestly have no idea which to start reading first.
Since it is black history month in February I will be prioritizing books written by black authors. Here is what my tbr looks like hopefully, I'll be able to get to all of these:
The Black Veins
The Black Kids
Black Enough: Stories of Being Young & Black in America
Black Girl Unlimited
Black Sunday
Hopefully I will get through these three:Angel of Greenwood
Red Pill
Noopiming: The Cure for White Ladies
Then I also have:
How Long 'til Black Future Month?
I accidentally started this a little early, because I picked up Get a Life, Chloe Brown and finished in a day and a half...oops! But I'm very excited to read the second of the Brown sisters series. I'm adding a few more to my TBR, but we'll see how much I stick with the color theme this month.
I'm going to be reading The Emerald Sea by Richelle Mead, Blackhouse by Stephen King and Peter Straub, and if I have time, Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.
If I can get the audiobook back from the library, I might cheat and continue
or read
which I own from the same author. I have been into poetry collections, though, so it's entirely possible I stumble into one with a color this month.
So out of the 8 options, I posted here not so long ago, I decided to start
.I am about 20 pages in and am intrigued so far.
For this prompt, I'm going to read White Feminism: From the Suffragettes to Influencers and Who They Leave Behind
I am reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl and The Tall Pine Polka by Lorna Landvik for my color reads this month.
Definitely The Yellow Wife and The Yellow Bird Sings and then I’ll see if I pick anything else up that fits.
Planning to read: 1) all systems red 2) blade so black and 3) a study in scarlet Already finished all systems red (it’s a novella) and what a great start! (4stars) and can’t wait to continue that collection!
Currently reading "Red Storm Rising" by Tom Clancy and plan to re-read "Red, White and Royal Blue" by Casey McQuiston.
I'm reading The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon this month! So excited to finally get to it - it's been very intimidating, but this challenge is the perfect reason to pick it up!
I've just finished reading James and the Giant PEACH (I'm counting it as a colour okay) :'D Really nostalgic experience. I loved the film growing up (I don't think it gets talked about enough), so reading this just reminded me of so much of the stuff that happened.
I will say, for a book that included facts about insects and tried to disprove false information, having a maneating rhino... like okay???????
Nevertheless, it was a nice quick read.
