History: Beth was alone even before the lightning. She grew up in the orphanage and spent a lot of her time roaming the city. She doesn't know or care who her parents are, they left her and that was their mistake.
When the lightning hit she was on the roof of the orphanage, stargazing. A week later, when she was on the roof again, she spotted a shooting star. She didn't realize it at the time, but she unconsciously willed it closer so she could see it better. The meteor changed course and crashed to the ground a mile away from the orphanage. Beth went and retrieved the meteor. It was small and grey-ish black with jagged edges and numerous little craters and groves. (She keeps it in a small pouch around her neck.)

Soon thereafter, Bethany realized she could summon things from the sky. At first she thought it was just meteors, but then she discovered she could summon rain and snow and sleet and fog. Beth ran away from the orphanage after seeing the adds on TV and she has been roaming the streets and running from L.I.V.E. ever since.

Personality: Batboi- aHEM, Caspian is quiet, likes to think that he's scary, but really he's a complete cinnamon roll and needs love. PLEASE give him love. He listens to pretty dark music but don't be fooled; he absolutely loves pop and will know the words to every single Katy Perry song you play. EVERY SINGLE ONE. He's intelligent but can be oblivious, is VERY dense when it comes to crushes, and gets distracted pretty quickly. He could beat you up, but it's more of a subconscious reflex thing, than it is a "I-actually-want-to-beat-you-up" thing.
Usually it's PAINFULLY EASY to make him blush or feel embarrassed, but every once in a while it surprises everyone, but he can be a really good flirt! It even shocks him! He de-humanizes himself a lot because of low self-worth, but he really doesn't like talking about things like that, and is a master of bottling up his feelings. He also can get INSANELY protective, and reminds a lot of people of a cat. Because he LOVES attention even though you wouldn't know unless you know him well, can be as stubborn as a mule, can be VERY petty, and acts like a momma bear whenever his friends are in trouble.
He hates his (*cough*non-existent*cough*) "badboy" reputation being ruined, being underestimated because of his VERY SHORT height and other factors, being babied, etc. He also usually just likes going with the flow and takes great comfort in little skin contact gestures like leaning on someone's shoulder, etc

History: A fallen tear and a broken smile... That’s all Caspian remembered before his mother drove them straight off of a cliff, down into the deep murky waters of the lake... A strangled ”I’m sorry...” Ripping from her mouth. The last thing she had ever said to him... The last thing she had ever said. Scared and confused, he almost drowned with her, until one survival instinct, he disappeared from the deep black blue of the water, unable to override his body’s decision to get him to safety. He screamed and cried until he could scream and cry no more, found by a humble fisherman the next day; passed out from the sobbing and exhaustion, drenched with the salty tears of the ocean... And his own. The kind fisherman took him in and rook care of him, still showing up at the door to the guest room with a bowl of hot food though Caspian rarely took the energy to consume it. He couldn't even get out of bed on most mornings, until. two years later when he came home from his job that he had only recently started to see the blood of the fisherman splattered across the icy cold floor. The only objects kept in one piece was a handwritten note with fancy black ink and pale yellow parchment... And a single red rose. With a closer look he could see that it was not red... It was a white rose, painted with the ruby red and metallic smelling blood of the fisherman, his body gone from the scene... But Caspian could only think that he’d been drained of all the blood now drawn across the floor in terrifying but beautiful designs, barely being able to make himself take the note, not being able to cry... For how can one cry if tens of thousands of tears were long ago pulled from their eyes not even a month before? There were only two sentences written in the looping cursive. ”If only you had died with your mother. If only if you both were brave enough to accept your fates. You can only blame yourself my son.

And from that single crippling moment in his life, Caspian could not remember a single moment of the rest of his life until he woke up in a random children’s playground on the other side of the country. A fitting place... For one with no childhood normal enough to have ever been able to place a single finger on a structure like this. A few weeks later he was taken in and was hidden from the rest until he was strong enough to move and walk; when he was found, multiple bones we're broken and his skin was almost covered with bruises.
(He doesn't remember his past chock full of blood-curdling trauma because be has selective amnesia and only gets a few memories back through random or maybe not so random flashbacks)

History: Anastasia was born to her Russian mother and French father who had met in the US and married after her birth, learning to love the other after the one night stand, which Ani did not need to know; she just cares that they’re together and happy. She got avoided and shunned in school, talked behind her back... maybe it was because she was a chubby kid, or maybe it was how freakish things happened around her; lightbulbs would flicker, random and short blackouts would happen, electronics turned off and on around her, etc. She was easily found and taken by the scientists in her freshman year of high-school because of someone taking short videos each time weird things happened to her, posting them online for all to see. She was shortly kidnapped and never saw her family again. She kept escaping again and again before being caught, eventually being moved to the High-security wing of the living quarters (plural)... A fancy less scary version of group of cages built for mutants with stronger, more dangerous abilities.She kept trying every now and then but eventually gave up... or did she?

History: Aurora's early life was a happy one. She lived in a middle class neighborhood with her mother, father and older brother, Aiden. Her mother, Carol Nyx was a teacher in the neighborhood elementary school and her father Travis Nyz was a scientist. when Aurora was eleven, her mother died in a car accident and her family mourned. Aiden and Aurora were deeply shaken but their father grieved for only a few days then returned to his studies, shutting his children out.
Aurora was getting her drivers license when the lightning struck. She remembers it very clearly. She' d been driving down the street gripping the steering wheel too hard and she'd seen the lightning bolt in the distance. Aurora's already stressed brain had panicked even more and she'd swerved and hit another vehicle. She failed her driver's test and her father was very disappointed. Two weeks later, in the early morning when the sun still hadn't come up, Aurora was jogging through her neighborhood when a man wearing a mask tried to rob her. She tried to punched him in the face but he had already stolen her wallet and run off. It was still too dark for Aurora to see exactly where the robber had gone so Aurora started running in the direction she thought the robber had run, though she still needed light. As soon as she had wished for light, Aurora's hands had started to glow and a bright beam of light had burst from each her them. The robber screamed and Aurora hunted him down, taking her wallet back and knocking him out. She left him on the side on the road and returned home.
It was another hour before Aurora fully grasped what had happened. Beams of light had burst from her hands. She started experimenting with her new ability, testing different temperatures and adjusting the brightness of each beam. Aurora learned to control her newfound ability and, after two months of practicing, she told her father. But Dr. Nyx had joined L.I.V.E. and his loyalty to them outweighed his love for his daughter. He tried to lock her up, keep her contained until his coworkers got there to take her away. Aurora was locked in the closet but she burned a hole in the door and climbed out. With help from her brother, Aurora escaped out the backdoor with a backpack of her things. She went on the run and Aiden stayed behind. He got a job at L.I.V.E. in attempted to gather inside information.
Aurora's been on the run ever since then doesn't know what happened to her older brother after she last saw him. For all she knows, he could could be dead. Or worse, helping L.I.V.E. kidnap and

History: Lotus was the youngest child of three siblings. Personality: Ka'ohu is bold and defiant. She doesn't take well to people trying to tell her what to do and fights people constantly. She hates the scientists and guards and will often refuse to listen and cooperate. She's friendly to the other cell mates, hostile to guards, and neutral to scientists. Though she usually yells curses and angry words at them whenever she can.

History: She forgot this. Ka'ohu's parents were scientists from L.I.V.E and they took her in themselves. They were the ones who mainly tested on her, she didn't know they were her family though. After an experiment fried certain neurons in her mind she lost most of her memories from the past other than pain and fear.
