Many of my favorite series involve cats (if you haven't read the Sofie Kelly/Sofie Ryan books, check them out). Some cats solve the mystery and some just help tie the story together.

I love all of Sofie Kelly/Sofie Ryan books. All of her series are wonderful.

I have completed the purring target and will work towards the Kneading level. My first ten books are:1. Body on the Bayou by Ellen Byron – A mom cat and dog with their kittens provide the final clue to the killer.
2. Closely Harbored Secrets by Bree Baker – Cat leads the rescuer to our endangered sleuth – cat may be reincarnated/ghost of an ancestor.
3. A Whisker of a Doubt by Cate Conte – Cat Café
4. Undercover Kitty by Sofie Ryan Cats attack killer to save AS
5. A Curious Incident by Vicki Delany – A lost kitten leads to involvement in another murder investigation
6. A Biscuit, a Casket by Liz Mugavero – AS is a pet chef and her dog and cat, as well as other local pets star in this series
7. Knit one, Die Two by Peggy Ehrhart – Cat and her kittens are a part of the story.
8. Enter the Witch by Andris Bear – Turns out our sleuth is a witch and Chester the cat, who follows her home, is her familiar or something.
9. Lady Takes the Case by Eliza Casey – the cat finds the evidence and shows it to our sleuths
10. Body in the Park by Courtney McFarlin – talking cat is the Dr Watson to our sleuth

Congrats on completing the Purring Level! Some great books on your list. Good luck with the Kneading Level.
Glad this is a year long thing because my reading has been slumpy of late. Good list. Haven't heard of any of these books except I have heard of Sofie Ryan before.

The cat in the series, O'Ryan MIGHT be magic, or a familiar of something like that....
