I have my copy of The Good Earth and can start that any time, but I was thinking that someone else wanted to join us and might have requested a later month. Do you remember if there was someone else? I could do Look Homeward Angel in October. I will post up something in Buddy Reads about both.

That sounds great. I can start anytime too. Yes, I think Allie and Carolien was reading it and was to join the discussion.
Okay. I just asked Katy to set both up for us. I will be finished soon with the books I am currently reading, so I will plan to start on the Good Earth after those.
2 more completed with only 2 left for blackout! N1 Nobel laureate
I read The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck.
I really enjoyed this and wondered why I put it off for so long.

I read 1776 by David McCullough.
This one was not for me. I wanted to like it as it was my first McCullough. I think I chose the wrong one to read first.

So glad to have participated in this challenge for the first time this year and to have had the opportunity to read so many wonderful books! I look forward to next year!
Congratulations, Lori! I love most of the books on your list and I see you have a lot of 5 & 4 stars which is amazing. Well done!
Way to Go, Lori! You had some marvelous books this year and it is always satisfying to finish the challenge and know that what you got from it was meaningful reads.
Thanks so much everyone! I have to say that this group and this challenge allowed my reading to go to a new level which I'd never known was possible. My ratings were so high because I had such a high caliber of books to choose from and this group helped with that too. I hope next year is just as good!
