I think you did read it differently for Edward F. But as you proceed it's the contentment that would fill you :)

I finished the book last night but couldn't update you guys until now for I had exams. I can't wait any more to tell you so much fun it was, especially reading with you two !!
uhhm..here are my thoughts
(view spoiler)[ We've been ranting about such a jerk Willoughby has been but now he's closure. Elinor has definitely changed her thoughts and I think I've too. Although, not completely. :/
Elinor is happily married and I can't be happier for her. She's been my favorite of all characters and, idk, she's someone I'd like to be more like...if I'm making sense XP

Also, Marianne marrying Brandon just not feels right to me! They haven't even interacted enough in the book. Thye just can't end up together as if there's no other option :/
What do you guys think?

And who wants to rant about Lucy!! I kinda knew she would be a mess when her character was first introduced, lol. (hide spoiler)]

I know that we've been reading it for almost three weeks now but all schools have, obviously, set up the exams at this time before Christmas which is the most annoying thing if you ask me. You're excited to finally have holidays and yet, they don't want you to take a rest.

Anyways, now we get to the Willoughby part. (An, you don't read this until you've read the whole book!! :D)
(view spoiler)[ I know that he kind of justified himself...Even after that, he is still a big idiot, if you ask me. He has money but was it worth it? He lost an awesome woman that he could make his.

Edward and Elinor are sweethearts! I'm happy that they ended up together. Like, I wasn't even mad about Edward's engagement with Lucy at the very end, unlike Willoughby...who I still highly dislike!

Not trynna sound like a brat but I hoped that Lucy wouldn't end well. I know, I shouldn't! She was just the worst! Definitely my least favourite character of the book, even worse than Mrs Ferrars.

I felt like we got more of Elinor than Marianne. I would also like to see a bit of Marianne and Colonel Brandon's developing relationship. It did feel a little odd, I must admit that. :/ (hide spoiler)]

My most favourite character was probably Elinor too. I'm not calm like her at all! I'm actually acting very impulsive sometimes, I'm working on it tho! :)
All in all, it was a lovely book! I need to read more of Jane Austen's work.

Marianne's character went through a huge transformation. Which I'm surprised with but happy too.
Whereas Elinor who was fine with the idea of second marriages gets along the only person she loved and it's mutual!! I'm soo happy for her *crying tears of joy*

Oh, Lucy, I don't think I'll ever have less to dislike her :/

Also, did u guys notice that the characters who end up having a 'happily ever after' was the novel's second sons who did not inherit the family property. All in all, I loved the writing. Only Brandon and Marianne ending up together knocked down half a star for me :)

Finished! Here are my final thoughts -
(view spoiler)[Wow! I was not expecting that plot twist at the end. Like, Lucy married Robert?! That was definitely unexpected. I was actually really sad when it seemed like everyone except Elinor is gonna get a happy ending, cause Marianne will end up marrying the Colonel, even Willoughby got married (I still don't like him btw. That "explanation" of his didn't make much sense to me). But then Edward comes and... well, she finally gets her happy ending <3
Overall, I definitely give it 5 stars because of the lovely ending, and Jane Austen's writing was beautiful as usual. But I agree with what Alexa said in her review - Jane Austen can do better :) (hide spoiler)]

Hey! So I was thinking, do you both wanna make it a thing for us to BR a classic every month? Idk about you but I always feel slightly intimidated if reading a classic by myself! If you both want that, then maybe we can read the Jane Austen books first (I really need to read Mansfield Park and Persuasion) and then move on to others. Let me know what you think!

I'll first answer your final thoughts since I haven't done that earlier and now I'm ashamed! :/

We've done amazing! I had much fun reading this with someone and the fact that I actually had to compose my chaotic thoughts into something understandable was really new to me!
So thank you both, hope you have a beautiful Christmas!
(view spoiler)[I can't believe the marriage either, I guess mainly because we didn't see them together in any scene in the book and there weren't any big emotions between those two.
And yes, Elinor deserved a happy ending more than anyone in the novel! She was there when everyone needed her and that's such a precious ability to have. I admire her for that and many many more things!
Willoughby is still a douchebag in my mind, no matter what. I doubt that it will ever change. (hide spoiler)]
At some parts of the story, I was thinking "this is a five-star read" (I couldn't get myself to stop reading and stayed up late for it) as well but I don't know...I think that it's accurate for me to give it 4,25 instead. But I can see why you decided to give it five. :)

I can do every month, one classic. We would continue with Jane Austen, see how it goes and then we can add on some books from other authors? I haven't read many classics, not even Jane Austen (only S&S now and Northanger Abbey which was a bomb!). So I suggest that we'll see what Priyansha says and then discuss what should we read afterwards! But I'm in! :)
